# Affiliate Tiers
### Affiliate Tiers
The **Affiliate tiers** feature can be found in **Extra functions** > **Motivate affiliates**.

This feature is **version-based** to make sure you don't take it for **Commission tiers**. Please contact us if you need it enabled and are a **PRO** subscriber.

To set up **Affiliate tiers**, you must first click this **Activate** button.

The maximum number of tiers you can create depends on the number of existing affiliate programs, as each level is set up as a separate program.

**Affiliate tiers** can be **Reset** on a specific day within a defined period. When the reset is applied, affiliates will be moved back to the initial program (first tier), allowing their progression to restart from the beginning for the next evaluation cycle.
#### Example
> In this example, when affiliates reach $500 in sales, they will be automatically moved from the Silver program to the Gold program, where they can earn a higher commission rate. After one month, the tiers will be reset, and affiliates will return to the Silver program to start progressing again.
### Commission Tiers
You will see this feature in **Program > Edit program > Default commission**
Affiliates are automatically moved to a higher commission level when they meet the conditions you set.

Unlike **Affiliate Tiers**, affiliates remain in the same program, only their commission rate is increased based on their performance.

Similar to **Affiliate Tiers**, you can enable a **Reset** option for **Commission Tiers** on a specific schedule. However, they stay in the same program, with only their commission level being reset.
#### Example:
> In this example, affiliates will earn 5% commission when their total sales reach $500, 10% when they reach $1,000, and 15% for any higher sales levels. These commission tiers will be reset on the first day of every three months, after which affiliates will return to the initial 5% level and begin progressing again.
