# Affiliate tiers
The Affiliate tiers feature automatically moves affiliates to a higher commission-rate program when they meet specified conditions, motivating them to earn more.

**Affiliate tiers** is hidden by default to avoid confusion with **Commission tiers**. To use this feature, contact our team so we can enable it for your store.

You'll find this feature under **Extra functions** > **Motivate affiliates** > **Affiliate tiers**.
## How it works
* Create multiple affiliate tiers, each linked to a different affiliate program with its own commission rates and rules.
* All affiliates start at level 1 and automatically move up when they meet the conditions you set.
* When an affiliate reaches a new level, they're switched to the corresponding affiliate program and receive its commission rates, rewards, and rules.
* You can also set tiers to reset on a recurring schedule. After each reset, affiliates return to Level 1 and start progressing again
## How to set up
Click the **Activate** toggle to turn the feature on.
### Set up the number of levels

The maximum number of levels is limited by the number of existing affiliate programs you have, as each level corresponds to a separate program.

### Choose a level condition
**Level condition** is the metric used to evaluate an affiliate's progress. Available options are:
* Total sales
* Total commissions (Network & Bonus Included)
* Total orders
* Total commissionable sales.
### Specify affiliate program per level
Assign an existing affiliate program to each level (for example, Level 1, Level 2, and so on).
### **Specify a minimum value for an affiliate to automatically level-up**
Under this section, set the condition value required for each level.

The condition value for level 1 is fixed at 0, since it's the starting level and has no requirement to enter.

### Reset affiliate tiers
You can enable **Reset tiers** to have affiliates return to Level 1 on a recurring schedule.
Check the Reset tiers box, and choose the day of the month and the interval (every X months) on which the reset should occur.
Once set, the app shows a preview of your reset cycle.
When a reset is applied, affiliates are moved back to program level 1, and their progress starts over for the next evaluation cycle.
### **Example**
A brand has two programs:
**Silver**
* 10% commission
* 10% customer discount code
* No bonuses
**Gold**
* 20% commission
* 15% customer discount code
* Monthly performance bonus
When an affiliate reaches $500 in total sales, they will be automatically moved from the Silver to the Gold.
After one month, the tiers will be reset, and affiliates will return to the Silver program to start progressing again.

Do affiliates need to rejoin when they move to a new Affiliate tier?
No. Affiliates are automatically moved from one program to another when they reach the new tier.
Will affiliates keep their affiliate links when moving to a new Affiliate tier?
Yes. However, their program settings, such as commission rules and discount codes, may change depending on the new program's configuration.
