Programs > Edit

Here in Edit, you can select all or only specific products to be eligible for commissions in this program.

In this example, orders of only White T-shirt items will not be tracked nor commissioned. Orders that consist of White T-shirt items and other product items (Jacket, Blue T-shirt,... etc) will still be tracked and commissioned - in which only the other products are commissioned and not the White T-shirt.

I. Commission Rules

1. Default Commission

Default Commission is the commission given to all affiliates in the program when they successfully bring orders. You can choose between Percent of sales, Fixed amount per order, or Fixed amount per item.

  • Percent of sale is a certain percentage of the order's total sales.

For example, if you set the commission rate to 10% of sale, your affiliates will receive 10% of the order's total sales each time they bring back orders.

  • Fixed amount per order is a fixed amount for every order.

For example, if you set the commission rate to $3 per order, your affiliates will receive $3 each time they bring back orders regardless of the orders' value.

  • Fixed amount per item is a fixed amount for every item of the order.

For example, if you set the commission rate to $3 per item, your affiliates will receive $6 each time they bring back orders of 2 items.

  • (version-based) Tiers are different commission rates for different affiliates based on their all-time personal sales performance. Tiers can be reset so that all affiliates will start at the same tier after a certain cycle.

This option has been hidden in order to avoid confusion with Affiliate Tiers. If you're a PRO subscriber and would like this feature back, please contact us to have it re-enabled.

After an order is paid, it will be displayed in the Conversions tab along with its status and calculated commission amount.

2. Advanced Commission Setups

a. Special Product Commission

Special Product Commission allows you to add extra commission rules for specific products or collections, or give commission for these products only.

To set up a Special Product Commission, you must click the Add product button!

Example

Here are some examples of combinations of Special Product Commission and Default Commission within the same order:

  • If your default commission type is Percent of sale:

Product A ($30) gives a 20% commission and the default commission is 10%, so when a customer places an order of product A and product B ($100), the commission to be given will be: $30x20% + $100x10% = $16.

  • If your default commission type is Fixed amount per order:

Product A ($30) gives a 20% commission and the default commission is $15 per order, so when a customer places an order of product A and product B, the commission to be given will be: $30x20% + $15 = $21.

You can also edit or delete the Special Product Commission by clicking these two Actions buttons.

b. Advanced Commission Rule

  • What are Advanced Commission Rules?

Advanced Commission Rule allows you to override the default commission based on Coupon, Customer, or Lifetime tracking.

  • FAQs

Q1: I'm having a holiday sale in my store and don't want to pay commissions on orders that have holiday discounts applied. How do I set it up so that the app automatically cancels commissions in this case?

A1:

In this example, if the order has a coupon whose name contains "HOLIDAY" applied, it will not be tracked nor given any commissions.

Q2. I want to give affiliates a 10% commission for bringing new customers but only 5% if it's old customers that they bring. How do I set it up so that the app automatically gives different commission amounts for these customer groups?

A2:

In this example, if the customer is old, the commission will be 5% [Please keep in mind that a default commission (for new customers) must be set up as 10% first. You can also achieve the same result if setting up the default commission as 5% and the advanced commission rule as Customer - New - 10% here.]

Q3. I want to use Lifetime tracking, but only if I can make Lifetime Commission gradually decrease after each order is created. How do I set it up so that the Lifetime Commission is 10% for the first order and 5% for subsequent orders?

A3: To be able to set up different commissions based on Lifetime tracking, Lifetime Commission must first be enabled in Settings.

In this example, the commission that affiliates receive for their subsequent orders will be 5%. (please keep in mind that a default commission must be set up as 10% first)

c. Lifetime Commission

  • What is Lifetime Commission?

Lifetime Commission allows affiliates to be linked to the customers that they originally referred and receive commissions on all of these customers' subsequent orders (regardless of whether an affiliate link/coupon was used or not). It is offered for a period of time called Lifetime Duration. Once it ends, Lifetime Commission will no longer be available.

If a customer is referred by an affiliate for the first time (the customer places the first order via an affiliate link/coupon), a link between them will be stored.

Next time, when the same customer places another order (even without using the same affiliate link/coupon or device/browser), BixGrow can still identify the affiliate who originally referred this customer and give him a commission. The affiliate will continue to receive commissions for this customer's orders until his Lifetime Duration ends.

  • How to set up

To set up Lifetime Commission, you must first go to Programs > Settings > Lifetime Commission and enable this feature.

Once Lifetime Commission is enabled, all existing links between affiliates and customers in the Conversions > Customers tab will become lifetime links.

In this example, affiliate Quinn brought customer Joy to your store. Since you set up Lifetime Commission, all subsequent orders from Joy regardless of the affiliate links he uses will be credited to Quinn.

Next, you can also decide on Lifetime Duration - if it's valid forever, or for a limited time only.

In this example, Lifetime Commission is limited to 60 days, which means the links between affiliates and their customers will expire after 60 days. These customers will have to use affiliate links/coupons in order for affiliates to be credited for commissions again.

  • Lifetime commission amount

The Lifetime Commission amount is the commission amount given to affiliates for subsequent orders. By default, it is the default commission. You can apply another commission amount by going to Advanced Commission Setup.

  • Manually link/unlink an affiliate with a customer

You can link an affiliate with a customer to create a Lifetime Commission link between them even before the customer places the first order. To do so, you must first click this New customers button.

Now select the affiliate and search for/add the customer you want to link. Finally, click Save.

To manually unlink the affiliate and the customer, simply click this Delete button.

II. Settings

Lock Sign-up Page will make you have to manually add affiliates to the program.

Please note that this also makes your program inactive.

Limit Sign-up by Location to make your program only available to join in specific countries or regions.

This is highly recommended if your store doesn't offer worldwide shipping!

Each affiliate has an affiliate link assigned to them automatically when added to the program. Turning this off will make all affiliate links deactivated and removed from the Affiliate Dashboard.

You should disable tracking by links if you want to track by coupons only.

Program directory

This is a summary of everything your affiliates need to know about your affiliate program and how they should work to promote your products and earn commissions. You can either use our default template or create a program directory of your own.
