Usually, rewards in referral programs can be for both advocates and friends. With advocates, it's to motivate them to share your products with family, friends, and colleagues... Meanwhile, rewards can encourage customers so they are more likely to purchase. These two-sided rewards are recommended because it's a win-win for both advocates and friends.
This is where you can set up rewards for advocates and their friends to boost referral orders.
Coupons will be generated automatically when friends click referral links and they will have the format as you set up.
For Rewards, you can choose between Percentage, Fixed amount, or Free shipping.
For example, if you set the discount value to 20%, your advocates will receive 20% discount codes each time they bring back orders.
You can also have a minimum purchase amount for eligible rewards, or select which products should be referred. An expiration time for the discounts can also be enabled, and if not, advocates and their friends can use these discounts whenever they want as the discounts never expire.
You can now toggle the discounts' applicable combinations (with other discounts) and purchase type (of the order) as well.
Please note that the Purchase type selection menu is ONLY available when you have active subscription products in your store.
The reward send delay helps you decide when the reward should be sent after a referral is recorded. It's recommended to match the time limit of your return policy to make sure you don't reward canceled orders. During this period, it's possible that you deny suspicious/fraudulent orders manually.
