To set up this feature, navigate to Settings > Affiliate link and click Set up button in the Add UTM to affiliate links section.
Simply input your desired parameters, and the app automatically generates a ready-to-use affiliate link with UTM tags. This way, you can measure the success of your campaigns and make data-driven decisions to boost your affiliate marketing strategy.
BixGrow provides three customizable UTM tracking fields to help you track and analyze affiliate traffic effectively:
Campaign Source: This field identifies your affiliates. We recommend using the variables {affiliate_name}
, {affiliate_email}
, or {referral_code}
, as these are unique to each affiliate.
Campaign Medium: Use this field to specify the type of traffic. Common examples are "affiliate" or "partner."
Campaign Name: This field is typically used to identify your program. We recommend using the variable {program_name}
, or you can enter a specific campaign name to differentiate it from other campaigns in your store.
Once saved, a standard affiliate link with UTM parameters will look like this:
You can edit or delete this setup at any time by clicking the pen icon or the three dots next to the example link.
After setting up UTM tracking, here’s how a default affiliate link will look. You also have the option to shorten it, making the link cleaner and more professional for affiliates to share.
From your UTM link setup in BixGrow, you can connect to your Google Analytics account to access detailed statistics about traffic generated by affiliate links. In Google Analytics, you can also filter the data based on Source, Medium, or Campaign, allowing you to compare performance and gain deeper insights into your affiliate program's effectiveness.
