How conversions are tracked

This is where you can keep track of what affiliates bring back to your shop, including Commissions, Clicks, and Customers.

1. Commissions

A commission is calculated when an order is recorded to be placed via an affiliate link (directly/indirectly but during the time period of cookie duration) or using an affiliate coupon at checkout. The order also had to be marked as paid on Shopify. There are the order's date, order number, the affiliate who brought the order, order's total sale, commission amount, commission status, payment status, order's tracking method and actions (approve/deny/view commission details).

2. Clicks

This is where you can see the list of clicks on all affiliate links. There are the click's date, insights (customer's used device, browser and OS), the affiliate whose link was clicked, referrer URL (if the link was clicked on another site and not directly accessed - for example, Facebook), and destination URL which is the exact link that was clicked.

3. Customers

This is where you can see the list of customers brought by all affiliates.

4. When are conversions tracked?

Referral orders having the payment status as Paid will appear automatically in BixGrow without waiting until fulfillment. Our app doesn't track Unpaid orders.

5. How does the Tracking pending referral orders feature work and should it be enabled?

This feature allows you to monitor orders that are pending processing. Depending on your demand, you can decide whether to enable this feature or not. If you want full control over the tracking process of orders, enabling this feature can be useful to ensure you always have a comprehensive view of referral orders.

You must go to Settings > Advanced.

6. Why are orders not tracked/ Why have orders not been tracked yet?

There are several reasons why an order may not be tracked:

- Customers didn’t place orders via an affiliate link or use an affiliate coupon at checkout

- Customers placed orders via an affiliate link but the Tracking by link feature was turned off

- Customers checked out using a third-party payment gateway (not Shopify Payments)

- The order hasn’t been paid/marked as paid on Shopify yet

- An advanced commission rule that disables tracking orders placed by existing customers

- Orders containing discount codes are set to No tracking
