1. How does an affiliate coupon work?

Affiliate coupons are unique discount codes that are applied when customers make a purchase through an affiliate link. Each customer will receive a unique affiliate coupon in their admin—It can be a Static Coupon or a Dynamic Coupon. See the comparison below to help you choose the best discount type for your program.

To configure and manage affiliate coupons, navigate to Programs > Edit Program > Customer Discount. You're allowed to select your preferred coupon type (Static or Dynamic). Additional customization options are available, including coupon format, minimum purchase amount, usage limits, customer eligibility, and combinations.

These coupons encourage customers to make a purchase, helping affiliates earn more commissions while driving more sales for merchants.

A personalized coupon is ideal for long-term promotions and helps to build familiarity between the affiliate and their audience, as the same code is continuously shared.

A dynamic coupon is used only once per customer, reducing the risk of being misused or leaked. Dynamic coupons are perfect for campaigns where tighter control over coupon usage is needed, providing better protection against unauthorized use.
